We don’t knowingly allow someone who is sick to get too close with their germs. The same could/should be said of negative energy – be responsible for the energy you bring into a space, and mindful of how you allow others to move through your space. Energy effects everything.
What kind of energy do you bring into this space? How can you be more mindful of that energy? 3+ sentences and respond to one other post.
I like to think i bring positive and neutral energy to the class. I try and not let my outside life effect my emotions by always encouraging others and boosting moral. The neutral energy I bring comes by settling debates or discussion points. If a photographer needs help choosing between two photos and what not i try and be fair-minded and help them.
ReplyDeleteI think you are very helpful and caring. You always seem to have an answer for all my silly questions! Thank you! :)
DeleteI think you are spot on!! you are always willing to help. You are always happy and upbeat.
DeleteTrinity Vessells- I am bringing in a nervous energy, similar to Megan. I have a quiz next period that I didn't study for so I am very nervous. I could be more mindful of bringing in this energy by focusing on the positive and not thinking about all of my stress. I fell your pain Megan!
ReplyDeleteI think that you bring a positive energy into the classroom! You're super sweet and caring and I'm happy you're here (: -Kayla
DeleteDon't worry, little Megan, nervous energy can help keep us all on our toes! It can help others focus!
DeleteI bring absent-minded peppy energy. I bounce from topic to topic verbally and mentally very easily. I struggle focusing my energy often, especially after high stress classes/days/events.

It truly do bounce from topic to topic, but that's one of the many things interesting about you!
DeleteI completely agree with this. I love listening to your tangents and taking a break from my work but still not being distracted.
DeleteI think when you get anxious it brings us closer together as a class because we are all trying to help you calm down and get what you need done :)

I relate i do the same thing, but I think it's a good thing to be peppy and be able to talk about different topics easily :)
DeleteI think it is amazing that you have all these random topics to talk about. They are very interesting and i love listening to them! You definitely bring pep to this class. :)

ReplyDeleteI personally feel when I enter a room I bring a fun/positive energy. I am very upbeat and always want to have a good time, I will do anything I can to tempt and make anything fun. To be more mindful of my energy I should first check the mood out when I enter and begin to be loud and tell funny stories.

I think that I bring a lively energy to our work space. I always try to offer my help and I try to stay as positive as possible. Although, sometimes I believe this energy may be too much to handle I think it is a positive for the overall group. I need to work on how i display my energy because at moments, I react at the wrong times.
ReplyDeleteYes, McKayla! You are always willing to offer a helping hand to anyone. I'm sure everyone in the class appreciates the extra help you provide as well as the emotional boost you offer with your friendly personality.
DeleteI think I bring a positive energy into the classroom. I have a cheerful attitude when I walk in here everyday. I always have a smile on my face and try to say hi to the people around me.
ReplyDeleteI would have to agree, you do bring a positive energy and you are always happy. You make everyone around you in a good mood because you are No Stress Cristal.
DeleteI think that I bring in a mellow energy into the room. Whenever I'm stressed, I'm the person to try and hide all of my emotions until I'm at home so that I don't bring down anybody else's vibe in the classroom. Instead of hiding my emotions so everybody thinks that I'm fine and don't need any help with any of my work, I should probably show my sad/stressed emotions more than my happy one's. -Kayla

ReplyDeleteI think I bring sort of a carefree energy into the room. This isn't always a bad thing, but I should be more mindful of my work and take more consideration when completing it. It's good to not be too stressed, but not to the point where I'm not taking things very seriously. This is a bad example for others, and doesn't display my character very well.
ReplyDeleteI love how care-free you are! It really calms me down when i am stressed. I really appreciate your help in class. :)
DeleteI try to bring a positive, happy energy to the class. I make jokes and attempt to make people happy if they are in a bad mood. Journalism is a business-like setting, but it is good to have fun and lighten the mood from the stress of deadlines. Sometimes I get carried away and I should act more professional. My goal is to be more mindful, making sure I do not distract others from work, while also creating a cheerful environment.

I definitely think you make the classroom a more positive place! Your positivity makes our classroom feel more like a family.
DeleteI think I bring a sort of happy energy to the class, (at least I hope so) I try my hardest to make sure everyone is happy and peaceful at work. I always try to help everyone with any questions that they have, and if I don't have the answer or don't know how to help, than I go and I find an answer to the problem.
ReplyDeletejacob i love you and your personality you make this class really fun!
DeleteYou definitely bring a happy energy into the class Jacob! You are always here to make us laugh!
ReplyDeleteI think I bring positive energy to the classroom; I strive to remove any negativity from myself before coming to class, because as editor I think part of my job is to avoid placing unnecessary stress on the staff. I don't want anyone to feel overwhelmed about their assignments; instead, I want to bring all the knowledge and answers I can to avoid any confusion. Mandatory classes bring so much stress already; I want to create an environment that staffers enjoy coming to.

ReplyDeleteThe majority of the time, I bring an optimistic type of energy to our class. On the other hand, there are days when I bring more doubtful and anxious feelings. I could be more mindful by accepting that I'm worried, and trying to calm my nerves and make the situation more relaxed.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really sure if I do bring an energy to the room, but ,I guess, it would be something mellow or something not very prominent. I only really ask questions when I talk to people, or have people help me with somethings. So, I think that would just be some neutral energy, possibly. (Bryce Pol)
